outfit post: black dress, knit cardigan, boots

Inspiration - Fruity Girl Blog

This outfit is all about being comfy, cozy & cute. I feel cuddly. I'd wear this to maybe run errands on a chilly day? Or meet some girlfriends for a movie? This outfit is a keeper.

This outfit feels very Parisian chic to me. Simple in it's elements - black a-line skirt, flats, scarf and a chambray shirt but sophisticated in overall feel of all the elements together.

outfit post: skinny jeans, heels, comfy tan cardigan

Inspiration - Ashley Green

Airport outfit #5. Chalk the heels up to, "I'm just trying to copy Ashley's outfit as best I can but I would never actually wear heels to the airport." But wearing this cozy outfit with a pair of flats ready to run between connections and we are totally in business.

outfit posts: green shirt, grey jeans, brown boots

Inspiration - Katrina Bowden

Airport outfit #4. Simple and easy outfit. Bright colored shirt and stretchy jeans with warm boots. (I have been on the coldest flights lately!) Even with layered t's - I would still carry a jacket over my arm to bundle up in on sub-zero flights or to use as a pillow.

outfit post: chambray shirt, black pants, white-t

Inspiration - Kourtney Kardashian

Airport outfit #3. Sometimes you just want to be comfortable when you're traveling. And this outfit is exactly that - comfortable. I wouldn't say that I look super pulled together but this outfit basically feels like I'm wearing PJs. And PJs are pretty much the very top of the comfort chart.

outfit posts: mustard scarf, green tunic, black skinny jeans, boots

Inspiration - Jessica Biel

My second airport outfit. This one also uses layers to help you adjust to varying temperatures as you travel. The mustard & green color combination on top of the base of neutrals makes me happy.

     Green tunic - Zara

outfit posts: jeans, leather jacket, grey cardigan

Inspiration - Jennifer Aniston

I am traveling out of the country this week for work. As I was pulling out clothing to pack for the trip I started playing with outfits I could wear to the airport. My first travel outfit inspiration was the always beautiful Jennifer Aniston.

I like that this outfit has a lot of layers because if you're traveling from one climate to another, running from gate to gate to make connections and sitting for hours on a possibly very chilly airplane you want to be able to easily adjust your temperature by adding and removing things.

I also like that the leather jacket makes me look sorta bad-ass.

Top:
     White tank - Old Navy
Grey drapey cardigan - TJ Maxx
Black leatherette (pleather?) jacket - F21
Bottom:
     Bootcut Jeans - Abercrombie
Shoes:
     Black ankle boots - Aldo

outfit post: little white dress

Inspiration - Reese Witherspoon

I like this dress because of how simple it is. I feel like that allows it to navigate quite a few outfit occasions. It could be worn for a day of shopping with friends or maybe to work with a cardigan and closed toed shoes. It also could be worn at night if you're headed to a dinner date or cocktails with co-workers. I really like basics like this that transition well with a little dressing up or down by adding/subtracting accessories.

Dress:
     White dress - BCBG outlet
Shoes:
Brown t-strap heels - Charles David
Accessories:
     Purse - Louis Vuitton
     Silver Bangles - F21

outfit post: floral & purple

Inspiration - Brooklyn Blonde

Today's outfit is another experiment with color. I took a semi-loud blouse from Old Navy that has bright pink, orange and purple flowers on it and paired it with a purple skirt. I'm glad it's a darker purple because I started to imagine how it'd look if I owned a pink or orange cropped pants and decided I'd feel like a little old lady at a south Florida resort.

Top:
Floral blouse pink, orange, purple - Old Navy
Bottom:
Purple corduroy mini skirt - Old Navy
Shoes:

outfit post: blue pants, grey tank, black blazer

Inspiration - Net-A-Porter

Time to leave my comfort zone and venture into the world of BLUE PANTS! I bought these pants from Asos as a way to ease into the bright color trends for spring. To balance the outfit color out and not feel like a box of crayolas I went with grey and black in the rest of the outfit. The blue pants will take a bit of getting used to - but I've decided I like 'em!

outfit post: kelly green cardigan, teal necklace

Inspiration - Pinterest (can't find original site)

This image has been floating around Pinterest and I love it for the color combination. I made a first attempt at the outfit before I bought the JCrew necklace (off eBay) and it wasn't quite right. So I tried again and I love it!

First attempt didn't work right...

outfit post: black satin strapless

Inspiration - Lake Bell

I will end this week of date outfits on the big V-day holiday itself. This is the dressiest date outfit of the bunch. This dress is great for cocktail soirees or fancy pants restaurants. It got my husband's vote as his favorite because it's a sexy dress without showing too much skin.

Dress:
Black satin strapless dress - Express
Shoes:
Black patent pumps - Mossimo from Target
Accessories
     Black bib necklace - F21

outfit post: maxi blue low cut dress

Inspiration - Olivia Palermo

In honor of Valentine's day date week continues! Here's a dress I would wear on a date to a garden/beach brunch or maybe as a plus one to a summer wedding. Olivia is wearing hers to a Museum benefit.

**Update** Randomly came across this picture of Fergie in 2008 this morning wearing the exact same dress! How cool!

Date week continues! Time for a slightly fancier date outfit. I'd wear this dress to see a play or eat at a fancy steakhouse. I love Kate Middleton and love her style.
