outfit post: striped dress, white/ivory blazer, grey pointed toe pumps

Inspiration - Kim Kardashian

Fun outfit today rewearing two recently purchased items together! Love how the white blazer dresses up the casual ponte dress. Cute & simple summer work look.

SO EXCITED because husband and I are going to Napa at the end next week for our anniversary! We've never been before but I have heard so many good things. And it'll be our first getaway alone since the kiddo arrived in January. Yay grownup time! Well sorta grownup - hubby is coming after all... ;)

I've been having fun brainstorming what to bring and I promise a packing list with what worked & didn't when I get back! (Also, any tips/suggestions for Napa-newbies would be greatly appreciated. We're staying in the actual town of Napa.) Yayyyy I love vacation!

  1. oh that's really nice, I imagine you could wear that dress smart for work or also casual

  2. Cute!! Hubby and I spent our anniversary this year in Napa too! There are so many wineries to chose from you'll want to make sure you pace yourself. Two of our favorites were Domaine Chandon (I love sparkling wines) and Frogs Leap (they specialize in a more organic approach). This time of year expect crowds so be patient. You'll have a wonderful time!!!

  3. I'm about to start a business casual job after working in scrubs for many years, I could spend hours looking over your site for ideas!

A question - do you pull your hair up for the outfit photos or do you wear it tied back every day?

    1. Congrats on the new job! I do wear my hair up a lot but you're right in that I pull it up for photos every time. Felt like it looked weird to see it when I cropped my head. :)

  4. We just went to Napa for the first time two months ago. Frog's Leap was our favorite vineyard. Great customer service and a comfortable environment. If you can get a spot for one of the tours & tasting, it is worth the time. I would also recommend Honig if you like sweet wines. Their Late Harvest Savignon Blanc is amazing. We also stayed in downtown Napa, but ended up spending most of our time in the other parts of the Valley. For food, we would recommend: Redd, Ad Hoc, Farmstead, Addendum, Bouchon Bakery. We had lunch at Auberge du Soleil one day, too. The food was good, but the star was the view from the deck.
