outfit post: pink portofino shirt, striped jersey pencil skirt, white pointed toe pumps

Inspiration - Pink Sole

I got the inspiration for this outfit from the adorable Rachelle at Pink Sole. She is one of my favorite bloggers because she puts together awesome work-wear outfits I wouldn't have thought of with what turns out to be pieces I already own. And she does a great feature of 20 pieces making 20 outfits. Super cute!

When I copy outfits - they are usually in the same ballpark as the original inspiration - but this one is super identical to Rachelle's. We both own striped jersey skirts from Old Navy and share a LOVE for Express' Portofino shirts. (They are really the BEST. They look nice, fit well, don't wrinkle, can be dressy or casual and come in a bazillion colors. Perfect shirt!) This outfit is fun and colorful and makes me happy heading into a long holiday weekend. Love love love!

  1. Love this! I just wrote a future post about Portofino shirts! I just recently bought one and I'm in love! I bought a patterned one and my next has to be a bright solid like yours. I love it paired with the striped skirt!

  2. Love this outfit, and you look great! I have yet to purchase an actual Portofino shirt, but I have some that are very similar style and they are perfect for work.

  4. I have this skirt in red and navy stripes. Haven't worn it yet because I don't know what to pair it with. Any suggestions?

    1. My first thought would be a navy blouse. When I have a fun color in my skirt - I often tone down/match the top of my outfit.
