Inspiration - Old Navy
Inspiration - Old Navy
Busy busy week this week. Normal work routine. House guests all weekend. Around the house major closet clean out in guest-to-become-baby room (nesting?), new a/c installed (old one was from the 80s), cable issues fixed (took sooooo long) and had a bunch of power washing done outside. Plus leaving for Germany for week long work trip on Sunday. Phew!
I am loving big button down shirts over pencil skirts/maternity pants at this phase in my pregnancy. Only thing is I feel like my proportions are weird if I only wear a shirt & skirt so despite the heat I've been topping all my outfits with a jacket or cardigan 'completer piece' which makes me feel more balanced & pulled together. Good thing my office keeps the a/c to arctic during the Florida summers!
Week 20 update
Yay! Halfway there! Seems like I've been pregnant forever already but know I still have quite a ways to go. Just glad things have been healthy & strong to this point.
Recent developments:
- My main cravings have been arugula & melon salads and ice cream/anything sugar.
- Had a few days in a row last week where my emotions were slightly overwhelming (melancholy/sad) but seemed to have returned to normal levels again.
- Maybe have felt a baby wiggle or two? Nothing distinct.
- Getting bigger and bigger - especially the boobs. They are a little ridiculous.

Hey MK, I just have to say that I love your materninity posts! I am at the very same stage in my pregnancy and not only do I love your outfits as usual but your personal comments, too. Just great to hear from a busy business professional that she experiences the same struggles and emotional swings as I do. Oh and as for a completer piece: I am the same and heavily rely on my black or white open sleeveless blazer/vest to round out most outfits. All the best from Germany!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! It makes me really happy to hear that these posts are useful to you! Congratulations to you on your pregnancy! :)
DeleteYou look adorable!! Love the polka dots/denim combo.
ReplyDelete20 weeks was when I really got over my nausea and started feeling really good. Pregnancy cravings are so funny--arugula is very specific!! I had a number of cravings and they each lasted around a week. Lemonade, plain pasta, hot tamales (the candy), berries, and turkey sandwiches. Random, right? Hope you continue to feel good!
Thank you! That is so interesting to hear what a variety of things you craved. Very very specific too! :)
DeleteI have all the pieces of this outfit, except the shoes. I'm not pregnant but will use this combination/outfit. I really like it.
ReplyDelete20 weeks, halfway there! Hope things continue to go smooth for you. And have fun in Germany, I know, you'll be working, but still :)
G Salazar.
Thank you so much! Glad you can use the outfit as non-maternity inspiration!
DeleteThat is such a cute outfit! And I'm impressed you're still in heels! I was in flats (and flats only!) way before 20 weeks. Although my feet grew too, so my heels were so uncomfortable.
ReplyDeleteYeah - the wedges haven't lasted. Flats only from here on out. :)
DeleteThis is my favorite maternity outfit so far! I love the denim + polka dots.
ReplyDeleteYou look great :)
Safe travels!
Thanks!
