outfit post: black & white patterned crepe shift dress, jean jacket, red ballet flats

Inspiration - Reese Witherspoon

Just a heads up - posting might be a little sporadic over the next week. The project that took me to Germany in February is now in phase two and our team is meeting next week in Ireland. And when I travel internationally I never quite know my work schedule & internet availability to be able to blog.

I love my job and the opportunity it gives me to travel to cool places and meet interesting people. But the trade-off to so much time away is I often feel like I am not quite caught up on my life. I think everyone feels how life can pull you in different and competing directions. Wanting to do well at all areas of your life but the opportunity cost are that if you choose to spend time doing one thing that means you aren't doing something else. More time with family & friends might mean messy house. Or extra time for One Suitcase post means skipping the gym. Long day at work could mean take out for dinner.

For some reason when I travel it makes me more aware of where I make those choices once I'm home. But the way I look at it - you just do the best you can. Make the best choices you are able to with the information you have and then let the rest fall where it may. :)

  1. Great use of your inspiration photo in this casual look! Love the pops of red!

    See What Katie Wears

  2. You are so right. I not only love your sense of style, but also your sensibility!!

  3. I love this outfit! Perfect for a Friday.

  4. Love this out fit! the shoes make it and I think you did it better then Reese!

  5. Cute Outfit!
Have fun in Ireland - I spent a year living/working there and fell in love with it more each and every day!

    1. Thanks! It was such a cool place! I'd love the opportunity to spend a year there.

  6. Girl, I travel almost every week too and its difficult. My trade off is I don't go to super exciting places, but I'm home every weekend. My theory - get a maid and have fun with friends/family when you can! ;-)
