Love it. I've lived in Chicago my whole life, so I'm a pro at dressing for the cold. Braving a skirt definitely requires a thick pair of tights and some warm boots. I usually live in skinny jeans and tall boots in the winter (hooray for jeans-friendly office!) since there's nothing worse than getting the bottoms of your pants wet and dirty in the snow. Layering is also a must - I love what you did with layers for your outfits this trip!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Glad to hear it's cold weather expert approved! :)
DeleteLove the travel outfit! I love to travel, but it has got to be hard in this weather! I spent 36 hours in an airport once. I hope I never have to do that again!

Getting stranded sucks. Glad I made it north & back with no weather interruptions!
DeleteI'm traveling to Indiana next week for work and this post is going to very helpful. Thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteYay! Glad you found it useful!
DeleteHaha I love this post since I live in Minnesota and have most of my life and I can never find blogs for people who have to dress professional when it's -10 outside. Your outfits are spot on for how we tend to dress half the year- The only thing I would do differently is ditch the undershirt layer since I would roast alive wearing that many layers! But that's more of being a native to the cold thing than a style choice :) Love, love, love.
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed the post! I'm a Florida wimp - so my philosophy was MUST WEAR ALL LAYERS POSSIBLE! :)
