outfit posts: hunter "wellies" rain boots

Inspiration - What I Wore

Inspiration - Hunter via Net-a-Porter

Double the outfits today because we're having double the rain here in Florida from tropical storm Isaac! It has been pouring buckets and buckets which means I get to wear my make-me-happy rain boots.

My wellies were an investment I made a few years ago and I love them so much! I love that I can wear them in the city, rain or snow, with a cute outfit and be fashionable. And I can also wear them out in the country to tromp around the swamp behind my parents house or through slippery woods filled dirty snow. They are incredibly practical and durable. Double win!

The first outfit isn't an exact match to the inspiration but it follows the idea that sometimes when it's doom and gloom outside your outfit can be all about colors to brighten your day. And the second outfit is basically the same outfit as the other day (here) but with boots and a trench coat added.

Outfit 1-

Butterfly Sleeve Zig Zag Poncho - Loft

     Navy trench - Banana Republic

  3. I have a black pair of hunter boots and I love them. I live in Vancouver, BC where it rains 8 months out of the year. THey are a must fashion accessory.

  4. LOVE Wellies, I've been meaning to get a pair but have been weighing the pros and cons of bringing them back to China with me. Yes, there are two major rainy seasons in Guangzhou but they do take up a lot of room in the luggage!

  5. If I were lugging something that large to China - I would just wear them on the plane. It'll be annoying in security but better then taking up a ton of room in your suitcase. (I traveled ~20 hours each way to and from Brazil ten times over the past year - you learn really quickly what is worth bringing with you and what is not!)
